This high performance stand alone 8 channel dvr is a favorite of most home and business owners.  It features an MPEG4 compression format that provides crystal clear images with real time performance.  It also has mulitplex operation allowing you to play back, record, view a live display, and network all at the same time.  The system can support 5 users simultaneously and is also equipped with alarm trigger recording that will send alerts with images to any designated cell phone or PC via E-mail.  Advanced motion detection features allow you to save space on the 250GB extra large capacity hard drive which is included with system.  You can also archive events and video to the included DVD burner.
